The commanding Villa Thalamus welcomes up to 22 guests and boasts a peaceful ocean vista across the dreamy Bay of Talamone. Sat amongst four hectares of pine and wild olive trees that sway in the gentle sea breezes, it's a beautiful Tuscan vision.

You'll feel wonderfully tucked away on the Tuscan coast while still within easy reach of larger towns, including the medieval city of Siena. Wander to Orbetello, a unique town located on a thin strip of land in the middle of a lagoon. Here you can explore the historical monuments in its centre and sample delicious food from its offering of family-run restaurants with a wide choice of local cuisine. Reach the sun-kissed beach of Talamone within minutes and rent a boat to bob gently along the coast, or the more active members of your group can try their hand at kitesurfing or windsurfing.

The interiors of this sprawling villa are steeped in traditional warm Tuscan charm. In addition to the main living space, guests can unwind in two further living rooms and get cosy in front of the ancient fireplace when the nights turn cooler. The kitchen takes all the stress out of cooking for a crowd, with plenty of space and state-of-the-art equipment at hand. Feast on mountains of Tuscan treats in the dining room or embrace la dolce vita, eating al fresco under the poolside pergola or in the shade of the trees in front of the villa, overlooking the sparkling ocean.

Sink into the soft linens of a king-size bed and wake to the sound of seabirds in one of the villa's ten light and airy bedrooms. Seven of these pretty pastel bedrooms are ensuite, while the others have access to two private bathrooms. Two sofa beds are also available and make a snug spot for any extra guests.

Stroll through the aromatic winter garden or pluck a bloom from the dreamy rose garden before taking your pick from the thriving vegetable patch. Sink into the turquoise waters of the infinity pool with a glass of wine in hand, and soak up the beauty of Villa Thalamus and its oil-painting surroundings.
